Name of George Rowlands and occupation of Assurance Company Superintendent is stated on her marriage certificates. Also stated that he was deceased at time of her 1948 marriage.

She gave her maiden name as Davies on her children's birth certificates.

This is based on George Davies, who her mother married three years after her birth. Most likely she pretended (or believed) that he was her father. Unlikely that he actually was her father, as he was living in Cheshire at the time of her birth.
